To kick off his campaign, Bob will take delivery of this new Chevy Malibu at Shaheen Chevrolet in Lansing at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 24. From there, Bob will set off on his "Road Trip for Change," visiting locations in all five counties of Michigan's 8th District on Thursday. Bob will share the campaign's themes of American products, Michigan innovation, clean energy, and a clean environment. The day will finish with remarks at the GM Orion Assembly plant.
Bob, an East Lansing consultant and long-time community leader, is running for Congress because he knows Mid-Michigan demands a change after eight years of poor leadership under Mike Rogers and George Bush.
