The press and new media committee of the University of Michigan College Dems will be holding a statewide Blogging Convention to address the current state of politics and blogging—and the dynamic relationship between the two.
Giving the keynote speech will be prominent blogger and author Marcy Wheeler, who writes for Daily Kos, The Huffington Post, and Michigan Liberal, among others. The convention will also feature a panel of bloggers and politicians including Michigan Democrat [sic] Party Chair Mark Brewer, and writers from blogs like Blogging for Michigan and Rainbow Mitten, who will take questions from the audience and provide their own unique perspectives.
The convention will take place the Thursday, March 19 in the Vandenburg Room in the League at 8pm.
