| Ah, predictions about the economy. I've yet to see one that seems based on reality. But here goes: University of Michigan economists say the state's hard times will stick around for the rest of the year and into 2010.
They go on to say that unemployment will peak at 15.8% that year. But the good news is that after 2010 it's clear sailing! This also means that next year's state budget will have an even bigger hole that will require yet more inventive one-time gimmicks and financial trickery in order to fill it. |
