| A new week brings a new Two Joes podcast. This week, they discuss the Democratic gubernatorial field, including things said here and there about whether Jim Blanchard called Virg Bernero or vice-y versa. Towards the end is a gift, a little nugget of speculation for those keenly interested in metro Detroit politics (or, rather, Wayne County specifically). Before that, you get a little talk about the pledge highlighted last week by the Detroit Free Press, of GOP candidates now declaring to no longer participate in those straw polls that people here and there have been buying these last couple of months. The Two Joes blame campaign consultants shaking down campaigns. I blame the media for treating the straw polls like serious events in the first place. Then again, I blame the media for everything, from tooth decay to bad hair days to the cancellation of the original Star Trek. |
