In the first of several upcoming endorsements, Michigan Teamsters Joint Council 43 today endorsed Andy Dillon for Governor in the upcoming Democratic primary, citing his ongoing commitment to create and protect jobs across Michigan as the key reason for their support.“Our 90,000 plus members believe Andy Dillon has the best vision Michigan needs for the 21st century to get our state moving again,” said Bill Black, Director of Michigan Teamsters DRIVE. “His commitment to opposing Right To Work legislation, addressing misclassification, protecting Teamster jobs, and preserving pensions of our members are just a few of the reasons why we are supporting Andy and his campaign for Governor.”
Black cited Andy’s continued commitment to growing Teamster jobs and the Michigan economy. “Our members are focused on jobs and Andy has shown our members he knows how to make state government a partner in creating jobs for everyone in this state.”
The Michigan Teamsters will begin to mobilize their member political operation to support Dillon in the upcoming August primary, Black said.
