What's up with the bicycle logo?  Is that a reference to the Asian woman on the bicycle in the "Debbie Spenditnow" ad?

It comes from his first campaign...

... back in 1992 when he rode his bike around the district attacking then incumbent US Rep. Guy Vander Jagt calling him a Washington insider. He also promised he would term limit himself to 6 terms, which he broke. He entry into the lobbying business directly after his service proves he is even MORE a Washington insider than Vader Jagt (who was considered by many back then to be a "moderate" - the Gerald Ford or Art Vandenberg tradition).

Well-known as an unpopular loner in DC, Hoekstra never delivered or served to the status of Vander Jagt, and his failed campaign for governor showed his MI GOP friends are thin as well.

The actions Hoekstra took shielding the Bush Administration during the run up and defense of the invasion of Iraq, the suppression of whistle-blowers and tabling of multiple investigations, and covering up the lack of evidence of WMD to justify a WAR of choice (is there any greater sin for a man?), which he called a failure of the entire IC (he knew better as Chair of the House PSCI), prove he is not just a DC insider, but corrupt as well.
