|  Things last week looked bleak. This site, Michigan Liberal, was without a sponsor and bills began to pile up. Then, into my Inbox arrived an e-mail frm our good friends at McConnell Communications offering relief. The clouds parted, the sun shone brightly, and I believe you could hear in the background a bluebird singing sweetly. The cavalry had arrived at its appointed time, which is the last minute. A rescue was effected.
Some of you are aware that last week also saw the birthday of Darcy McConnell, the person whose name is affixed to the company (I believe the lettered among us would use the word, "eponymous"). This week, make sure you swing by her website to say both, "Happy belated birthday" and "Thanks, on behalf of professional blowhard Eric B., for the support"). The link is in the first paragraph of this post, or wrapped around the McConnell Communications logos placed in unrandom fashion. McConnell Communications is sponsoring this site through the end of September (which includes my own birthday), and after that we're open to anyone. It would be nice to line someone up before the end of the month, and right through Election Day. In fact, if you'd like to sponsor this site for the month of October, I'll throw in the bit of November before the election in for free. That's something like six weeks for the price of four-and-a-half, right before Election Day when traffic for this site traditionally peaks, and all for the price of $360. if this happens before the end of business hours tomorrow (midnight), I'll even throw in a Photoshopped photo of me shaking your hand.
