| Oh, look at the silly partisans and their silly season. We're so above it all. Meanwhile, Democrats who wish to remain anonymous launched a whispering campaign against Kerry Bentivolio, the Republican in the 11th District U.S. House race, saying he really, truly believes he is Santa Claus. We checked. He does not. What a bunch of silly Democrats, claiming that Kerry Bentivolio says he's really Santa Claus. It's silly season, and silly people will say silly things. "I have a problem figuring out which one I really am, Santa Claus or Kerry Bentivolio," Bentivolio said in a deposition, according to the report. "All my life I have been told I'm Kerry Bentivolio, and now, I am a Santa Claus, so now I prefer to be Santa Claus." The day I met Lance Enderle, he referred to his campaign manager as Santa Claus. Know the difference between Lance Endlerle telling a blogger at a political rally that his campaign manager is Santa Claus, and Kerry Bentivolio referring to himself as Santa Claus in a court deposition? Karen Bouffard probably is aware of the deposition, since this has been making the rounds for the last couple of months. It's even gotten national play, because Kerry Bentolvolio is one odd duck. The alternative possibility is that a political reporter at one of the state's major news outlets is unaware that about a month ago, people started circulating links on social media that revealed that a Congressional candidate told a court reporter that he believes that he's Santa Claus. Now, do I think that dude is crazy enough to really believe that he's Santa? Probably not. But, when you say it in a court deposition, no one has any business calling it mud slinging when it comes up on the campaign trail. |
