| So, let's see ... Democrats generally don't like Lil' Fella. John Boehner reportedly really hates him, as do members of his caucus who defended Boehner's decision to broom Lil' Fella off the budget committee. Lil' Fella tried to engineer a coup that could have thrown control of the House Speakership to a member of the minority party, but wound up getting the support of about a dozen people. It seems like the only people who really like him are the dead Austrian School economists whose pictures adorn Lil Fella's office. And, yet, he thinks this. While largely casting himself as a pragmatic problem-solver willing to work with Republicans and Democrats alike, Amash blamed congressional leaders, President Barack Obama and politics-as-usual for near-constant gridlock on pressing issues.
It's everyone else's fault except his. And, by the way, it might be everyone else's fault, but he's capable of working with everyone if they'd give him a chance. |
