Got a crack that needs filling, the GOP has a Romney they can seal it with

by: Eric B.

Sat Feb 15, 2014 at 10:38:07 AM EST

Social media word on the street is that the GOP state central committee met this morning and selected Ronna Romney McDaniel to replace Terri Lynn Land as Michigan's new national committee woman. More details as they come, but it doesn't make a lick of different which person they picked, since all three candidates support gay bashing and oppose making Goat Killer step down.

Rule 1 of American politics: pick the right parents
By the way, the newly-elected RNC member is Ronna Romney 2.0. Her mother, Ronna 1.0, ran twice for U.S. Senate, losing to Spencer Abraham in the primary in 1994 and losing the general election to Carl Levin in 1996. It pays to keep your Romneys straight.

A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always count on the support of Paul.

For those
For those who predicted McDaniel wiining this, kudos.  Though, I stick to the opinion that nothing in this version of the MIGOP is ever a sure thing.  The establishment is able to circle the wagons every now and then, but even then not without serious threat of the tea party.

Good on them for picking a Romney, though.  I'm sure Democrats will have a field day for a long time on this one.  Suffice it to say her name will be preceded by "Mitt Romney's Niece" in every press release. lol
