As if it had been there all along...

The House Republicans put out an "Awww, shucks" press release lamenting the lack of road funding but reminding you of everything they've gotten done this year. It includes this list.

From catching and stopping animal abusers to reforming Medicaid and increasing healthcare; from easing the burden to adopt a child to creating direct patient access to physical therapists; from implementing yet another balanced budget ahead of schedule to increasing minimum wage for workers, we have worked this year to ensure that Michigan women and men across the state find success again.

Emph. mine. Gall, all theirs. Lookee what the Memory Hole vomited up!

“I’d never close the door to any conversation ... but this is about as close as it gets,” said Bolger, R-Marshall, adding the minimum wage proposal looks like an effort to bring Democrats to the polls in November.

“The motivation to put this on the ballot is because (Democrats) can’t get excited about their gubernatorial candidate,” Bolger said.

So, what allows them to get away with this kind of bald faced revisionist history? Our statewide political press corps is so shrunken that it has been reduced to a sort of fire brigade going from conflagration to the next and allowing the little stuff to slip under the radar.

Press corp
seems to confuse journalism with stenography. And as we all know, Republican assertions can never be challenged, no matter how big the lie, because that would be liberal bias.
