Today in campaign news: Pagan endorsed by the UAW

by: Eric B.

Thu Jun 19, 2014 at 10:38:46 AM EDT

*--Someone mentioned in yesterday's campaign news post that Kristy Pagan announced last night that she'd earned the endorsements of the UAW and AFL-CIO and AFSCME. I can confirm, based on a post this morning on her Facebook page the bit about the UAW. As to the other two, might be.

That's what I've got ... this morning. I have a bunch of crap to do outside today, so please post other news in comments.

*--Update! ... The campaign of Warren Evans, candidate for Wayne County executive, has announced that it has received the endorsement of Wayne County prosecutor Kym Worthy.

Rashida Tlaib (SD 4); Rep. David Knezek (SD 5); Sen. Hoon-Yung Hopgood (SD 6); Rep. Dian Slavens (SD 7); Sen. Steve Bieda (SD 9); Sen. Rebekah Warren (SD 18); and Rep. Terry Brown (SD 25). House: Rep. Alberta Tinsley-Talabi (House District 2); Clarence Gayles (HD 3); Stephanie Chang (HD 6); Jay Johnson (HD 10); Erika Geiss (HD 12); Tony Trupiano (HD 13); Rep. George Darany (HD 15); Rep. Robert Kosowski (HD 16); Rep. Henry Yanez (HD 25); Rep. Marilyn Lane (HD 31); Nathan Morrish (HD 34); Jeremy Moss (HD 35); Sandy Colvin (HD 39); Rep. Peters Endorsed by Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce. (0.00 / 0)
Land got the Grand Rapids chamber, but Peters got Detroit.

Not impressed with Pagan (0.00 / 0)
I just visited her campaign website, and there is absolute zero about where she stands on the issues. I wonder if she's using the same consultants as Bobby (Empty Suit) McKenzie.

You'd think that in a midterm election, Democratic candidates would focus on getting their base to turn out. Spewing out PowerPoint cliches doesn't cut it.

A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always count on the support of Paul.

Pagan (4.00 / 1)
I've noticed a lot of candidates in recent elections, especially at the State Rep. level use their prior accomplishments and resume bullet points to campaign.

While obviously this is important, stance on issues should be the most important. While she might be sending out her stances in mailers or walking lit., you are right. She should have it posted on her website.
