Biography:
POLITICAL
State Representative Tim Moore was elected in November 2004 to his
first term in the Michigan House to represent residents of Arenac,
Clare, Gladwin, and northern Bay counties.
EDUCATION
Moore attended middle school and high school in Grayling, where he also
helped at his father’s auto parts store. Following high school, he
earned a business administration degree from Ferris State University in
1989.
PROFESSIONAL
Moore worked for Genuine Parts Inc. in Chicago for four years before
returning to Michigan to follow in his father and grandfather’s
footsteps in the auto parts business by buying with his dad the Farwell
Napa Auto Parts store in 1993. Moore took sole ownership of the store
in 2001.
PERSONAL
Moore, born April 26, 1967, in Alma, married Andrea in 1999. They have
two boys, T.J. and Brennan. The family is very active in the Catholic
Church, and he is also involved with the Knights of Columbus, Clare
Rotary, Farwell Chamber of Commerce and other business organizations in
Clare County. Moore also is a member of Michigan Right To Life,
Michigan Farm Bureau, the National Rifle Association and Ducks
