Manufacturing Co., an orthopedic soft goods manufacturer,
located in Sturgis. He was with the company for 18 years. Awards,
etc.: Treasurer of the St. Joseph County Historical Society
and is a charter member of U.S. Congressman Fred Upton's
Military Academies Advisory Committee. 2005 Republican of the Year by
the Lenawee County Republican Party; recipient of the 2005
Distinguished Service Award from NAACP; Legislator of the Year, Michigan Sheriff's
Association; named a Guardian of Small Business by the NFIB;
100% Voting Record Award, Small
Business Association of Michigan; and recognized as an
Agricultural Ally by the Michigan
Agribusiness Association. Member
of the Michigan (Mitt) "Romney" Caucus. "Strongly favors" a proposal to make tax increases subject to a 3/5 supermajority of the legislature (Michigan Family Forum voter guide). Sponsor of SR 0011 of 2007 - a resolution designating Wednesday, May 23, 2007 as Michigan Historical Marker Awareness Day.
