| Currently, Michigan's 2nd District is represented by Congressman Pete Hoekstra. If you don't know a lot about Hoekstra yet, I would suggest that you read "The Audacity of Hoek." Needless to say, he is one of the most conservative members of congress and has voted with President Bush nearly 90% of the time.
Now you know why you need to oppose Hoekstra, but why do you need to support Johnson? Why should you take the time to donate now? He is the right man to carry the Democratic message to Michigan's 2nd District.
We have a candidate who was raised in a poor household and raised himself out of poverty, served in US Marine Corps, worked in manufacturing, and is an expert in US foreign policy.
He believes that we must work to provide health care to all Americans. He believes that we must take the troops out of Iraq. He believes that we must protect the environment, particularly the great lakes. He believes that we must work for our number one asset, our American workers.
