Campaign news and rumors: Benson nabs another endorsement

Jocelyn Benson has secured the endorsement of John Conyers for Secretary of State. This is not terribly notable in its own right, since Benson is the only Democrat in the running for the job, but it is a continued sign that this campaign is laying all the right foundation work to make a serious, credible run at this spot next November. So far, her Republican opponents have been busy cranking out Teh Batty to win that party's nod.

Rumor has also reached my ear that Richard Bernstein, who I interviewed a couple of months ago, has hired a few key staffers to help him should he officially dive into the mix for the attorney general nomination.

Meanwhile, Rick Michigan swings by Kalamazoo to tell the people of that fair city that if elected he'll do stuff and make that one thing important. There will also be that one guy with that skin and who from time to time is known to wear shoes.
