I'm very sorry, but Wattrick is right. The mayor derives his or her power -- even as its largely symbollic role in a weak mayor system -- from the city charter. Referring to the founding legal document as "whimsical" means that you think of the mayorship as whimsical. If you have difficulty understanding that, maybe this whole self-governance thing ain't fer you. |
