MIRS says Benevolent Overlord Rick Michigan says Right to Work on the agenda

by: Eric B.

Tue Dec 04, 2012 at 18:01:55 PM EST

That's what MIRS said on Twitter. Take it as that, a tweet, if you can believe something called a tweet.

As for me, if there's any truth to the tweet, it's because the strong arming failed. Good times. Good times.

Time to blow this Mo-Fo up.

Update! ... This is the thing from MIRS.

Gov. Rick SNYDER emerged from a meeting with legislative leaders moments ago and said that Right to Work is on the agenda.

The governor said he and legislative leaders are having discussions on the issue and he said it could still happen in Lame Duck, but Snyder would not be pinned down to a specific time frame.

"This is an important issue and we should have dialogue," said Snyder.

When asked about why his position had changed, he said "there's been enough discussion of the issues that we're going to talk about it now and there will be decisions made."

The House did not introduce a Right to Work bill today but sources told MIRS there are two vehicle bills in the House and two in the Senate that could be amended to move Right to Work legislation.

It's not an important issue, and it's not one that Michigan's residents want to see suck all the oxygen out of the room. This is a matter of political revenge based on the idea that shit that benefits Michigan's citizens is of secondary importance to what benefits the Michigan Republican Party.

I look forward to the state's Very Serious Persons to weigh in on this issue, which is motivated not by purely partisanship, and in the same way that they were united against Proposal 2.

More ambiguity (0.00 / 0)
Read the Detroit News reporting on this, tonight.  It's more ambiguity from Rick.  When asked if Right-to-Work-(for-less) was good for Michigan, he gave some bullshit evasive answer.  Then, shitty pollster Mitchell Report has some poll included in the News showing that Michigan wants RTW 50 to 41.

The way I read it is that Bolger told him it was on the agenda, and, thus, it's going to be on the agenda.  Jase is calling the shots, here.  Not Rick and not Randy.  Guess he wants to get this done before he's unceremoniously swept from office...
