Here's the actual ad which attempts to link our Governor to a man who ordered the horrific slaughter of six million innocent men, women, and children:

A few weeks ago I was invited to be a representative of the Democratic side in the annual Boys' State conference at Michigan State University. Republican State Chairman Saul Anuzis was one of the speakers at the opening program, and one of the things he said there really stuck with me. He said, quoting from former U.S. Rep. J.C. Watts (R-OK), "There are two kinds of people, Democrats and Americans." In other words, if you are not a Republican, you are not an American.
I don't know if Saul was trying to be funny or not when he said this before a group of several hundred impressionable teenage boys. But it struck me then, as now, that this is a pretty good illustration of the kind of machine we're up against in 2006.
The DeVos campaign continues to deny any involvement with the ad shown above. Yet, we hear this from a guy who ran a company where "distributors" were promised fancy boats, planes, cars, a six-figure income and "more time with your family" - just before 99% of those same distributors failed to turn a profit. (as reported in the Detroit News) Amway is a lie. And Dick DeVos ran Amway. His fortunes are built on the broken marriages, friendships, and financial ruin of millions of Amway victims.
Other than Williamsman's interesting comment about Adolph Mongo possibly being part of the DeVos entourage at the NAACP Freedom Forum (check your file photos, please) and murmmers here and there, I haven't yet seen any direct evidence that DeVos, his campaign, or mercenaries paid for the Nazi ad. But considering the fact that DeVos ran a company (Amway) based on lies, and that the state Republican chairman apparently sees his opponents as being something less than American, Greg McNeilly's denials are worth about as much as a used copy of Dick DeVos's awful book, "Rediscovering American Values." BTW, as of this afternoon, the aforementioned book could be obtained through Amazon.com for a grand total of 48 cents.
As Pink Floyd would say, "Welcome to the machine." |
