UPDATE by Matt: Here's a measure of how far we've come: the Lansing State Journal's new political blog describes Michiganliberal.com as "the grandaddy of Michigan political blogs." How about them apples? Not even two years old - and already a grandaddy!

Don't worry, we're not going away (dream on, Saul). I only say all of this as a way to
get your attention, get you to think about how much Michiganliberal.com
is worth to you - how much it adds to your understanding of your

Pay whatever you think the service is worth to you and whatever you can
afford ($25 is the basic member level). Unlike public radio, we don't
have groovy totebags and coffee mugs to give away (though we do have them for
sale through Cafe Press - click here). But you will at least have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped to make sure liberals, progressives, and Democrats continue to have the most active and comprehensive online political community in Michigan.
Why do we need money? Well, for one thing, to keep my mortgage paid and
lights turned on. These days, I do Michlib exclusively. The ads help -
but it isn't enough. One can only live on Mejer-brand macaroni and
cheese for so long. We need some new members.
For another, as some of you know, we recently moved to a big new server
- so we'll be online, fast, and available to everybody during these
pivotal last three weeks. That costs some money. Not a lot. But it does
add up.
Whatever happens next month, it's clear Michiganliberal.com has made a difference.
I'm constantly amazed by how this site has taken off. - and I couldn't
be more proud. Just imagine what we can do next...with your help.
