Republican Congressman Vern Ehlers of Grand Rapids says he thinks U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales should step down.
Ehlers made the remarks before giving an update on the Congress and current events at a noon event at Calvin College.
Drip...drip...drip.
If you ask me, I hope President Pissypants, Esq. holds onto him like the last deck chair on the Titanic...

(From the diaries - promoted by Hazen Pingree)
While looking into the dismissal of Margaret Chiara, U.S. Attorney for Western Michigan District, I was encouraged by a source with background in federal law enforcement to look more carefully at ALL the U.S. Attorneys who did not serve out their full four-year terms.
And lo and behold, but the OTHER district in Michigan had a change in U.S. Attorneys under the Bush Administration, in what should have been a more obvious departure from previous administrations since the confirmed U.S. Attorney did not serve out their entire term. Did you notice this change? What did you think at the time?

Just lovely. Abu G. is apparently not done with his political purge of the U.S. Attorneys across the United States.
According to TPMMuckraker, Margaret Chiara will be stepping down effective March 16, 2007, one more notch in Abu G.'s belt.
Since there has been no apparent performance issue, in spite of Deputy USAG Paul McNulty's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee a couple weeks ago, what is it about Margaret Chiara that threatens this Administration?
