Yesterday morning, I received this email from the Michigan GOP (yes, I am on their e-mail list..need to keep up with the other side!) :
Dear ___
Today, you may have received an email from a disgruntled former employee, Justin Zatkoff, that is an example of game-playing that is distracting from our efforts this fall. It has been leaked to the press and being circulated by the same old group of troublemakers who are more interested in intra-party political silliness than helping Republicans win general elections.

The Michigan Republican Party has hired Justin Zatkoff, who is embroiled in controversy for possible state and federal campaign finance violations in his role as statewide College Republicans chairman, to work as a Victory ‘08 field representative in the crucial battleground of northern Oakland County.
Zatkoff has faced allegations of illegal campaign finance activity, immoral behavior (including posing semi-naked for sexually explicit photos, which can be seen at http://leoninjustin.blogspot.com/), corruption, and even filing a false police report (Zatkoff got drunk underage at the University of Michigan just before the 2006 election, when he was a DeVos for Governor intern, and his friends beat him up, but he was too embarrassed and claimed he was assaulted by a mob of pro-affirmative action supporters).
Zatkoff’s school newspaper at the University of Michigan did a comprehensive investigation and concluded, in an editorial, that he is a disgrace to the GOP and should resign. And in a weird twist of events, Zatkoff even threatened to sue Michigan Republican Party Chairman Saul Anuzis after scores of College Republicans were leaving the organization and pleading with Anuzis to remove Zatkoff as chairman.
Zatkoff's poor leadership resulted in the College Republicans at the University of Detroit-Mercy, Michigan State University, Kalamazoo College and even his own school, the University of Michigan, to quit the GOP because they didn't want to serve under him.
